Role Purpose:
The Assistant Project Manager will play a vital role in facilitating the successful delivery of water infrastructure projects in the Greater Atlanta Area. This position aims to enhance project execution and efficiency through effective collaboration and hands-on management, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What Will You Be Doing:
In this role, you will directly support senior leaders throughout all phases of project delivery. Your responsibilities will include managing budgets and schedules, coordinating with subcontractors, overseeing project engineers, and addressing on-site challenges as they arise. This position is designed for those looking to leverage their engineering or project management experience and make meaningful contributions to vital infrastructure development.
The successful candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:
Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination with field and office teams - Track project budgets, support cost forecasting, and manage the change order process - Oversee safety protocols and enforce quality assurance measures on-site - Lead subcontractor coordination, ensuring performance tracking aligns with project goals - Mentor and supervise project engineers and field support staff - Facilitate the resolution of jobsite issues related to labor, delivery, or contract administration - Maintain accurate records of vehicles, equipment, tools, and materials
What You Bring:
4+ years of experience in civil or water infrastructure construction - Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred) - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proactive communication style - Familiarity with construction scheduling, budgeting, and project controls - Previous experience working on large civil or utility projects is highly desirable - Willingness to relocate if required for future opportunities
