Role Purpose:
The Project Manager will lead significant water infrastructure projects in the Greater Atlanta area, guiding teams through all stages of project planning and execution. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects not only meet stringent regulatory requirements but also contribute positively to public health, sustainability, and regional development.
What Will You Be Doing:
In this dynamic role, you will oversee the holistic management of water infrastructure projects, from budgeting and scheduling to contractor oversight. You will act as the main liaison between clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals. Your focus will be on fostering high-performing teams and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
As a successful candidate, you will undertake the following responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of water infrastructure projects across all phases. - Manage budget forecasts, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor oversight. - Take full ownership of project outcomes, profitability, and safety performance. - Serve as the key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders. - Oversee quality control measures and ensure regulatory compliance is met. - Build and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative, accountable culture. - Identify and resolve issues that could impact schedule, budget, or deliverables. - Support recruitment, personnel development, and succession planning efforts. - Guide closeout documentation, reporting, and client satisfaction milestones.
Expected Experience:
7+ years of experience in project management, preferably in water or utility infrastructure. - Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred). - Demonstrated success managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors. - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a client-focused mindset. - Solid understanding of scheduling, cost control, and construction documentation. - Willingness to travel or relocate within the Southeast for project demands.
Nice-to-Have Profile Points:
Experience with large-scale public utility projects. - Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar. - Familiarity with current water treatment technologies and regulations. - Proven ability to influence at all organizational levels. - Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and technologies.
